Remaining in Good Standing

Understanding how to remain in good standing in order to continue receiving financial aid, and understanding what you must do if you have to withdraw from all classes during a semester is important, and our college course catalog discusses these 2 very important policies on page 25 .

Completing your FAFSA

Parents and students are encouraged to use the IRS Data Retrieval tool when completing the FAFSA as it may eliminate some documentation we may be requesting from you. Additionally, submitting your information in the FAFSA site will ensure security and lessen the possibility of making errors.

Submitting my FAFSA

After your FAFSA has been submitted, the YCCC Financial Aid Office (FAO) should receive it and send you a notification within 1 to 2 weeks. Some students may be selected for a process called Verification, or a mini audit of your FAFSA application, and you’ll be asked to submit documentation to the FAO in order to complete your file. Once a student’s file is complete, he/she will be sent an award notification offer that the student will be required to act upon. Details about the financial aid awarding process can be found HERE.

Students may view their financial aid awards through a secure portal called Netpartner.
